Congratulations and best wishes for Erik Bayona, MD (Cohort 1 Alumni) for beginning Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship at the University of New Mexico! He recently completed his PGY-3 residency year in general adult psychiatry and is currently working on the inpatient service of the Children’s Psychiatric Hospital. He will continue to work with the general adult psychiatry residency program on curriculum development, specifically on integrating a new component pf the didactic series focused on structural racism and developing structural competency for the psychiatry residents. Going forward, he plans to develop on a new telehealth program to provide psychotherapy services to Native youth in rural New Mexico.
