Adrienne Hicks applied and was approved for a 1-year research grant through the Committee of Interns and Residents to fund her substance use prevention group “What Makes Me Cool” that she started in the Psychiatric Child and Adolescent Clinic at Harlem Hospital. They can now have motivational speakers and refreshments during their weekly meetings, give weekly financial incentives for participants, take field trips, and award participants for staying drug and alcohol-free!
