Danae DiRocco was chosen as a trainee representative to the AAAP board of directors for a 2 year term starting 5/2020. She is currently working on an advocacy curriculum with the help of Dr. Edens, Dr. Kennedy, and the AAAP. Additionally, she has been incorporating teaching structural vulnerabilities into Psychiatry Orientation and an Interviewing Skills class with MS3 students beginning their Psychiatry rotations. In this class, they learn how to ask questions about structural vulnerabilities and how to incorporate them into any area of medicine. She hopes to pass this on to the next set of chiefs to continue for future years.
